Accessing Electronic Resources:
Advanced Placement (AP) students can use the library's electronic resources via one of the guest terminals on the first floor of the library.
Off-campus access to electronic materials and research databases is restricted to currently registered SMU students, faculty, and staff.
Borrowing Privileges:
AP students are eligible to borrow books and other materials from the Patrick Power Library, provided their High School has a signed agreement with Saint Mary's University.
The borrowing privileges for AP students are three weeks for books, periodicals and videos. Borrowed items can be returned at any Novanet library or public library in Nova Scotia.
AP students may renew materials online via the Novanet catalogue, but cannot use Document Delivery services, such as Novanet Express and Interlibrary Loan, or place recalls on items checked out.
AP Students are able to place holds on material in the Novanet Catalogue.
For more information about borrowing materials from the Library, please contact the Circulation Desk by email at access@smu.ca or visit our Community Users Guide.
