If you lost or damaged an item owned by the SMU library, contact the Access Services desk as soon as possible by email at access@smu.ca

If you are already seeing a fee for a lost book on your library account, the replacement cost for a lost item plus a $20 processing fee per item is automatically applied to your library account after the third overdue notice is sent.

If you lost or damaged an item owned by another Novanet library, contact that library directly as their policy/procedure may vary from our own. Here is a list of each library's contact information. 

If you lost or damaged an item borrowed from outside of Novanet through Interlibrary Loans, contact that department at ill@smu.ca
