Q. Do you have novels in other languages?

Yes, we do! 

Literature is found in the P section. Check out this clickable list from the Library of Congress (the classification system we use) for a breakdown of this section of the library.

You can also search for novels in other languages by searching the catalogue. As an example, lets look for Japanese fiction:

• Click on the Advanced Search link under the search box on the library home page.
• Change the 'Any field' box to 'Subject'.
• Change 'Resource type' to 'Books'.
• Type Japanese fiction and hit enter, and you will get the results for and about Japanese fiction at SMU.
• To get results only for books written in Japanese, scroll through the filters on the left until you get to 'Language', and click on 'Japanese'. 

For books in English, French, or German, you can choose the language in the Advanced search box before your search.
