The Live Help chat is an online library service available primarily to all Novanet students, staff and faculty, but also to members of the general public. This service is intended for quick questions rather than in depth research (i.e. location of a particular book or article, library hours, basic database instruction, troubleshooting, etc.) For more detailed research, it is often more productive to be face-to-face with staff at the Research Help desk.

Please note that this service is provided by librarians from all Novanet libraries, so you may not be chatting with someone who works at SMU. Not to worry though!! We are trained to answer questions from all institutions.
